We're back from a wonderful holiday in Sweden!
I would say that everything went really well, the travel, accommodation up to the race.
Pariti from Orio, we arrived in Stockholm and the weather is more or less like us, only that everything is covered with snow, we will take the bus and before we head north for a ride to visit the historic city center.

After more than 350 km we arrive in Mora and welcomes us a beautiful typical house, all wood on the forest edge, as in fairy tales
The next day we go for a good skiing in an area where there are really a lot of runs of all lengths and for all taste (even for the descent)

the afternoon we visit a typical woodworking craft industries that produce the classic wooden horses that are the symbol of this region: here the Beretta-life of a carpenter-he feels rejuvenated and would like to get a job! !
Saturday is dedicated to the test of snow on the racetrack in order to choose the right wax, we take advantage sciatina for another light, then we go to the village race, with the withdrawal of the usual prelminari chest, visit the stands and the Vasa Museum
and returns home to start preparing the skis
AND FINALLY THE DAY OF THE RACE!
The alarm is very early, at 3, you must go with the bus to town which is situated about ninety miles and need to be there a bit early to take a position on the grid. With me are the "usual" and Michael Angelo, Giorgio (the organizer of the trip, his 18 ^ Vasa!) And Stephen, at presentation.
The temperature at dawn was chilly but not exaggerated: less than 12, then during the day will always remain close to zero
8 HOURS thunder of the cannon and off you go and sixteen thousand skiers start marching! Immediately after the departure there is a nice climb but due to clogging go very slowly, but soon after the track opens and widens and you begin to ski safely, and the conditions are perfect: sunny and beautiful snowy powder. It cut off along the frozen lakes, extensive forests of birch trees are crossed and large pine forests, the landscape is still very large and the path is a continuous up and down but the short runs do not allow too much of a breath
I start to float away in kilometers but over quickly becoming more and more .... long!
Finally the steeple of Mora, I'm really exhausted but the goal is now within reach, the last effort and we!
The first of us to arrive is George, who ends his hard work in 5 hours and 55 'more than a few minutes' time the coin "ie one and half the time of the winner (of medals but he has already 17!) then I come in 6h 48 ', (40 seconds less than what I had spent 7 years ago!) Michael and Stephen arrive almost INSI
me 7h and 35' while Angelo is suffering a little close in the final 7h and 56 '
While the events until late arrivals, the rest we will enjoy a delicious braised reindeer and a well deserved beer!
This season I would say that we have done enough, now paused for a moment then resumed, other goals are in sight and there is too much time to relax!
